Inspired by a collection of Victorian wax seals discovered while sorting through a box of old letters at an estate sale, Pyrrha's talismans emerged from a desire to give the fragile antique seals new life and permanence. While they design and create all the imagery for their pieces, they remain connected to that original link to the past. Pyrrha celebrates the natural imperfections of their talismans by incorporating original elements such as cracked borders from the antique wax seals and proudly showcasing the maker’s hand.
The Name
Inspired by the concept of metamorphosis, they chose the name Pyrrha from the Greek myth of Pyrrha & Deucalion. The name symbolizes both a physical change — the transformation of metals into jewelry — and an emotional evolution for the wearer.
